Cooper, Blue & Gold Macaw Cooper is a very sweet and young blue and gold macaw. When Cooper came to his current foster home, he was very anxious and displayed plucking and some other stress-related behaviors. Now however, his confidence has greatly improved and his feather condition is looking fabulous, as you can see from the recent video. To find out more about cooper please visit www.rescuebird.com Adoption Fee $500 *To adopt a bird you must attend EBR Orientation class. Please check our website for class schedules. We only adopt within reasonable driving distance of the Eugene/Portland/Vancouver, WA area. We do not ship birds. After class completion, contact information of the foster home caring for the bird of interest will be made available in order to set up an appointment for a first visit. A certain number of visits are required for each bird before an adoption application is accepted. In addition to scheduled visits, you may be requested to attend an adoption meeting. Large birds and some small birds will have a probation period during which time you will serve as the foster home before adoption is finalized. A home inspection is required before fostering or adoption approval can be made. When an adoption is approved, with or without a probationary period, payment is due before the transfer of the bird from EBR to your home. There will be follow up phone calls from Exotic Bird Rescue after the adoption to ensure a successful adoption outcome. Adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis as we choose the home we feel is most appropriate for the health and well-being of our birds.
