COURTESY LISTING for LUCKY BALLPARK. LUCKY BALLPARK is a 6.5 y/o Dachshund. This darling boy has a strange history he was found tied to a fence at a ballpark when he was about 11 months old. The great guy that found him picked him up and gave him to a Rescue. He was placed with an older woman who died not long ago. He wound up in rescue and the man who originally found him tied to the fence, found him again! Lucky is house-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and has recently had a dental. Ive been fostering this super guy and am thoroughly enjoying him. He loves to spend time with me on the couch. He doesnt always come when called but I can always find him tucked away under a blanket somewhere as this very typical for Dachshunds. Apparently his undercover snoozing is more important than responding to calls to him. Hes a lovely chap and needs a quiet home with a comfy lap or two to occupy. No young children or cats. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print): Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
